Welcome to Safa. By using the Safa app, the Safa website, or any related service we offer (together, the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.
1. About Safa
Safa is a daily companion for Muslim women — covering prayer times, adhkar, Qur’an reading, and habit reflection. The Service is provided by the Safa team. We’re a small project, built with care, and we will keep these terms plain.
2. Eligibility & accounts
You can use Safa in two ways: anonymously on-device, or with an account that syncs across devices. If you create an account, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you’re old enough to enter into a contract in your country (typically 13+, or 16+ in some regions).
You’re responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us right away.
3. Acceptable use
Safa is a respectful, faith-centered space. You agree not to use the Service to:
- break any applicable law,
- attempt to disrupt the Service, reverse-engineer it, or access data that isn’t yours,
- upload or share content that’s harmful, hateful, or misrepresents Islamic sources, or
- resell or commercially exploit the Service without our written permission.
4. Qur'an content & third-party integrations
Qur’an text shown in Safa is sourced from public APIs including Al Qur’an Cloud and the Quran.com Foundation, with English meanings drawn from the Sahih International translation unless otherwise noted. We do not own that text and the original sources retain their respective rights and licenses.
Prayer times come from the Aladhan API based on the mosque or location you choose. Hijri date conversions use Aladhan as well. Where you connect a Quran.com account, the integration is governed by Quran.com Foundation’s own terms in addition to these.
5. Your content
Anything you log inside Safa — completed tasks, journal entries, mood check-ins — belongs to you. We store it so you can use the app, and we never sell it. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.
6. Intellectual property
The Safa name, the Safa wordmark, the app design, custom illustrations, and the original written content on this site are the property of the Safa team. You’re welcome to use Safa for personal, non-commercial purposes; please don’t copy our branding for your own products.
7. Disclaimers
Safa is offered “as is”. Prayer times, Qibla direction, and Hijri dates are computed from public APIs and astronomical formulas — they’re generally accurate but you should verify with your local mosque or scholar where precision matters. Safa is a tool to support practice, not a substitute for qualified Islamic guidance.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Safa team is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you’ve paid us in the preceding twelve months (which is often nothing — Safa is currently free).
9. Termination
You can stop using Safa at any time. You can delete your account and on-device data from within the app. We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are violated.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, surface a notice in the app or by email.
11. Contact
For questions about these terms, write to muslimah.app.acc@gmail.com.
BārakAllāhu fīkum for being part of Safa. 🌸
